These Fujiroids are from my first photo shoot with Tamsin. I also shot some regular film and those images will follow after I develop them. It was a really fun shoot and I hope to do some more with Tamsin if time and weather permits before the University summer break. Regular visitors to this blog may recognise the location, I’ve used it quite a few times because I really like the big windows and the quality of light inside.
[Tech info:] Mamiya Universal, 100mm / f3.5 lens, loaded with Fuji FP-100C instant pack film (expired).
Is the last one bleached? My bleached negs never seem to come out very well. This one has beautiful quality to it and the light is perfect. I always enjoy your photography. Thanks.
Hey Erik,
These are all scans from the prints. The bleached negs are different to the prints, they don’t scan the same. I’ve found that when you scan the bleached negs and you’re making your adjustments in the scanning software, make a selection that is smaller than the entire neg so that the software doesn’t get fooled by the edges or anything outside. Then, once your adjustments are set you can expand your selection before making the final scan.
I hope this makes sense. I use an Epson V700 and the Epson software and recently my results have been pretty good. Have a look at my Fujiroids from Giffords Circus and you’ll see some scans from the bleached negs.
